Subscription, per-transfer pricing, retention, and account limits.

ZenTransfer billing has two components: your subscription plan and per-transfer charges. This page covers the model; the live numbers live on the pricing page.
Subscription¶
ZenTransfer Plus is the base plan. It covers your account, dashboard access, processing pipeline, and a baseline of upload throughput.
Multiple plan tiers exist for different volume profiles. See pricing for current options.
Per-transfer charges¶
One successful delivery of one file to one destination counts as one transfer event. Examples:

Only successful transfers count. A failed delivery is not billed; ZenTransfer surfaces the failure in the History panel so you can retry or fix the destination.
Prepaid vs pay-as-you-go¶
For high-volume, consistent workloads, prepaid bundles reduce the per-transfer rate. Pay-as-you-go works for variable volume.
File retention¶
Files on ZenTransfer.io's relay storage are held for a configurable retention window. Default is short (typically 24 hours), enough to support delivery, retry, and traceable download links.
Configure the retention period in your dashboard under Settings.
Galleries are an exception — gallery storage is permanent (the curated collection is part of the account, not the relay buffer).
Account limits¶

Dashboard stats¶
Your dashboard shows:
- Total files uploaded over the account lifetime
- Total transfer events
- Last upload timestamp
- Connection status indicator
- Transfer size over time
Useful for verifying activity, estimating costs, and confirming the platform sees your uploads.
Multiple FTP login users¶
Add up to 10 additional FTP usernames under one account. Use cases:
- Multi-shooter assignments where each shooter gets their own credentials
- Separate logins for different assignments (audit trail)
- Assistant or stringer access without sharing your primary password
Files uploaded with any of the additional logins go through your single account's pipeline and fan out to your destinations.
Subscription management¶
Manage your plan, payment method, and invoices in your dashboard under Settings → Subscription.
To cancel, downgrade, or pause: same place. Cancellation stops new transfer billing immediately; files in flight finish delivering.
Account deletion¶
Account deletion is available from your dashboard Settings. Deletion is final — all stored files, destinations, OAuth tokens, and configuration are removed. Galleries become inaccessible (share links die).
What's free¶
- Inbound uploads (FTP, browser, Desktop app, mobile app, guest links) — included in subscription
- The Desktop app — free and open source
- The mobile apps — free with subscription
- Dashboard, configuration, and history
Only successful outbound deliveries count as transfer events.
Estimating monthly cost¶
Rough formula: subscription + (files_per_month × destinations_per_file × per_transfer_rate). The pricing page has a calculator.
If you're not sure how many destinations you'll have active, start with one or two — you can always add more.
